🔧 Function

 

The left-side automatic transmission speed sensor monitors transmission output/input shaft speed and sends data to the ECU/TCU. This signal is critical for:

 

• Proper gear shifting

• Accurate speedometer operation

• Torque converter lock-up

• Preventing transmission limp mode

⚠️ Common Symptoms of Failure

 

 

• Harsh or delayed shifting

• Speedometer not working or fluctuating

🛠️ Installation Notes

 

• Disconnect battery before replacement

• Inspect wiring plug for corrosion or damage

• Lightly oil O-ring before installing

• Torque to manufacturer specification (do not overtighten)
